    Hi Judy,

My name is Dean Davis, and I am a commercial and fine art photographer based in Spokane. I am working on a Project called “Pictures of Poets,” and I would like to include you. The gist of the project is that I am photographing poets and making audio recordings of them performing one or two of their poems. I am working with a graphic design firm to develop a website where we will pair the images with the audio. There will also be a museum exhibit at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC) where I will select 20 to 30 of the poets in the project and create large (40×60) prints. Viewers will use their phones with headphones to access the project website and while standing in front of the large prints, listen to the poet perform their work. The MAC will then market the exhibit to other institutions around the state.

I will be setting up a “studio” at Gallery One during the upcoming Poetry Prowl in Ellensburg. If you are interested in participating in this project, I would only need 15 to 30 minutes of your time. Please let me know if you are interested and if there is a best time to have you come by Gallery One. You can also just drop in without having scheduled a time. The only limitation I am trying to observe is to keep the poems under 3 minutes in length.

FYI, There is absolutely no cost to participate in this project.

    Best Regards,
    Dean
